I also heard about the idea of money and that did bring me to Medium vs other ways of sharing my gifts and talents online for NO MONEY LOL. And I am also in debt beyond belief up to my eye rolling eyes! LOL.

But yes — it is so much more, and it is the best decision I have ever made career-wise. I get to write poetry, talk to you all day, meet new people, talk about poetry, write and write and write until my hands hurt, and then, I get to make some money and pay a bill or maybe two, if I am lucky, or just buy some fancy groceries from the bargain grocery store for a change.

My overall problem is with people just detailing this as a money journey and trying to milk it with tips and tricks that do not really … ever offer anything groundbreaking. And the idea that someone is making 80K, 40K, 30K,….and I have never gotten engagement from these people, they don’t stick around to connect, etc. — it just feels like a rigged system, where many people give, and those who are supposedly earning so much are not … here in my DMs every day supporting me, LOL, or you, or the little guys?

This could be rambling by now, but there is just this overall feeling that articles about how to make money on Medium are the articles that make people money on Medium and … I would like Medium to do more and be more, because it is more! I have written about it time and time again, LOL.

Thank you for this and yes girl, when we make it big we can post follow ups that sort of go, “yeah, about that, we rich now too, so….” LOL. But I bet you all of the money on Medium we would not be as annoying about it all with the step by step guides that all say “be yourself,” “use a good title,” “get into publications” — LOL.
