A Brief Silly Poem About Our Workplace Home

Photo by Bruno Reyna on Unsplash

All day, every day I check in to see
the notifications that people have left for me

yet today, and the day before
notifications have moved quite slower

forgive that rhyme I know it was bad
but I feel that I have to mention I am sad

Medium, oh Medium have we truly fallen in
to a wormhole, a time warp, again and again?

I see that so and so liked my story
two hours ago, it’s like purgatory

the green light tells us who, what, when, where
but when we go to check, there’s no there there

perhaps tomorrow things will be on track
we will get our on time notifications back

until then I will have my dinner and fondly think of you
who liked my story at a half past two
